Justin Bieber Knocked Down at Chaotic Macy’s Event (PHOTOS)

Justin Bieber Knocked to Ground at Macy's Fragrance Event
There were some scary moments for Justin Bieber outside of a New York City Macy’s this afternoon. The teen heartthrob was set to make an in-store appearance promoting his new fragrance when a man jumped the barricade and pushed him to the ground.
WABC-TV reports that the 17-year-old singer went outside to greet fans who were unable to get into the packed store when he was knocked over by an older man. However, TMZ is reporting that the man who jumped Bieber was an undercover NYPD officer, and that the cause of the incident was all a big misunderstanding.
After knocking the singer to the ground, the unidentified man was quickly taken away by police and Justin was rushed inside by his bodyguards. Witnesses told news crews that Bieber did not appear to be injured but seemed very “shaken up.” Another witness told WABC-TV, “I see that guy going around, but I didn’t think anything about it, but all of a sudden he just jumped…Three guys were holding this guy back.”
According to TMZ, the man was an undercover officer who was trying to protect Bieber from overzealous fans when he jumped on Bieber to shield him. Bieber and his security team – without knowing it was a police officer – got defensive and thought it was an attacker.
After the incident, the ever-professional Bieber continued on with the event, which was to promote his new Someday fragrance.
